The Practice is located in the Cotswold market town
of Moreton in Marsh. The centrally located and distinctive
Grade II listed former meeting hall built in 1891 provides
an attractive working environment: facilities include a
spacious design studio with mezzanine working space,
meeting rooms, administration and printing spaces.
Our Cotswold based practice has been operating from
Moreton- in-Marsh since 1974. In 2001 Edward Tyack, supported
by five Associate Directors formed the company Batterton Tyack Associates.
All projects are approached enthusiastically and the practice
is well known for the following special skills:
- Masterplanning and design briefs
- Achieving planning approvals particularly in sensitive settings
- Work in Conservation Areas and relative to Listed Buildings
- Building in natural stone and vernacular detailing
- Developments which maximise property potential and value
- Working towards achieving sustainable schemes - Green Register
Our Primary Aim is to create schemes that sit comfortably and inevitably
within their context while also having an identity and sense of place of
their own. The site and its surrounding are the principle determiner; scale,
style and palette are all context led.
